Internal Halyard Flagpoles
Internal halyard flagpoles add the security benefit of a concealed
halyard. There are 3 types available in aluminum: Winch, Cam Cleat and
V-Cleat and 2 types in fiberglass: Cam Cleat and Winch.
What's the difference between Internal Halyard Systems?
Internal Winch: Uses a winch, stainless steel cable and removable
handle that allows the flag to be raised and lowered with a cranking
motion. This system requires less effort than the others, however, it
requires the most maintenance and is the most expensive.
Internal Cam Cleat: Uses standard 5/16" rope that is manually pulled
or released to raise and lower the flag. Once the flag is raised the
rope is held in place by feeding it behind the cam cleat which locks the
rope in place.
Internal V-Cleat: Uses standard 5/16" rope that is manually pulled or
released to raise and lower the flag. Once the flag is raised, the rope
is held in place by pushing it back into the access hole which allows
the V-Cleat to lock the rope in place.
